The MicroB UAV is a portable, air pressure launched (hand-held, light-weight pneumatic launcher), electrically powered surveillance and reconnaissance UAV offering rapid deployment anytime, anywhere, even in restricted urban areas.
It supports sophisticated interchangeable payloads, from gimbaled and stabilized day Video Image with continuous zoom to gimbaled and stabilized Thermal Video Image (IR) with optional Dual FOV zoom, to supply quality video coupled with GIS information.
The MicroB supports autonomous operational modes and a modular design to easily swap payloads, with no tools required. These features combined with its reliable combat-proved avionics and fool-proof rifle-shaped launcher make is extremely easy to use.
The UAV can be launched in any type of environment and does not require the operators to prepare a special take-off area. Even at high winds, the operator can safely accomplish multiple consistent launches. It also has an integrated parachute for accurate landing and emergencies.
Capable of operating even in severe weather conditions, the MicroB also has a minimal acoustic and visual signature, making it highly versatile.
It supports operational missions and applications of all kinds, including rapid “over-the-hill”, covert ISTAR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance) in an open area as well as urban warfare scenarios, first responders, border protection, force / convoy protection, security operations, law enforcement, search and rescue, disaster control and management operations, commercial applications, mapping on demand photogrammetric solutions, etc.
